Quinn Miller…

…originally from Clewiston, FL, is a conceptual portrait photographer working in staged and digitally constructed imagery. His practice explores themes of identity, emotional experience, and personal narrative through the use of symbolism and surreal visual language.

Miller received his Bachelor’s degree in Art from Florida Gulf Coast University, and now a Master’s in Fine Art from Savannah College of Art and Design, where he continues to work on his unreleased thesis: Bloom/ine. His work draws influence from composited scenes, particularly those of Erik Johansson and Jerry Ueslmann.

His photographs investigate internal psychological states, such as depression or anxiety, in hopes to create conversations. Through careful planning, often in the form of sketches, Miller plays with the boundary of reality and fantasy. His models range from self-portraiture, to family, and to mainly friends.

Miller’s work has been exhibited both regionally and internationally. He has received recognition from organizations including Critical Mass and Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, and his work has been featured in publications such as Bait//Switch and Al-Tiba19.

In addition to his studio practice, Miller works as a High School art educator in South Florida, over 10 years later.
